About Em

I'm a freelance writer and editor born, raised, and still living in the Midwest. I started writing and editing as a youth and honed my skills while earning my Bachelor's Degree in English Language and Literature/Letters from the University of Iowa's top-tier English and creative writing program, graduating magna cum laude.

As a creative editor—I work for you; my goal is to do what is best for you and your project, whether it be a book, poetry chapbook, article, case study, or another format. I'm on your team. I'm a partner. Above all, I believe in kindness and transparency, and you can trust you will always find that with me. Clear communication is my mantra.

I also work as a project management consultant for clients. I have 7 years of experience working in project management and implementation with a strong proven track record of on-time and on-budget projects, managing complex Electronic Health Record implementations across multi-hospital systems across the United States. I am a big-picture thinker, creative problem solver, and innovator.

My experience managing large projects is something I bring to all of my clients—whether I'm copyediting an article, writing a blog post, or managing a documentation project.
